01Agreeing to these terms
By using this website, asking us for a quote or hiring us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. A signed or approved proposal may add project-specific terms, and where the two differ, your approved proposal applies to that project.
02Our services and proposals
We provide ebook writing, editing, cover and interior design, formatting and publishing support. Every project starts with a written proposal that sets out the scope, timeline and price. Work begins once you approve it in writing and any first payment is received. Prices on this website are “from” prices and are for guidance only until you receive your written quote.
03Your responsibilities
You agree to give us accurate information and materials on time, to review each stage and reply to questions promptly, and to make sure you have the right to use everything you give us. You confirm that your content does not infringe anyone else’s rights and is not unlawful. Delays in your feedback may move the delivery dates.
04Fees and payment
Fees are shown in your proposal. Most projects are paid in two or three stages. Work on the next stage begins when the previous invoice is paid. Invoices are due within the period stated on them. We may pause work on overdue accounts. Taxes, if any, are added where required.
05Revisions
Each service includes the number of revision rounds stated in your proposal. A revision means changes to the existing work, not a new direction. Extra rounds or a change of scope can be added at an agreed rate before we start them.
06Timelines
Timelines in proposals are estimates that depend on your length, your feedback and your approvals. We will tell you as early as possible if anything is likely to change.
07Ownership of your work
You own your manuscript. Once a project is fully paid, you own the final cover, interior files and text we created for you, and we give you the rights you need to publish and sell your book. We keep our own tools, templates and general know-how. Third-party fonts, stock images or licences are handled as described in your proposal.
08Portfolio use
We will show your covers or excerpts in our portfolio or marketing only with your written permission. You can withdraw that permission at any time for future use.
09Confidentiality
We treat your manuscript, ideas and business information as confidential. We share them only with the people working on your project and our providers who are bound to keep them private. We can sign a separate confidentiality agreement if you need one.
10Stores and trademarks
AMZ United Press is an independent publishing services company. Amazon, Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books and other store names are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them. Sample covers shown on this website are illustrations and are not client work.
11No promises about sales
We take great care with every book, but we cannot guarantee sales, rankings, reviews or approval by any store. Stores set and change their own rules and we are not responsible for decisions they make.
12Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time by telling us in writing. Stages that are complete or already in progress are billed; any stage we have not started is refunded in full, normally within 14 days. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the law where you live.
13Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost opportunity. Our total liability for any claim connected to a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country or state to be confirmed before launch]. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you in good faith.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect a project already approved in writing.
